Scope and Contents
This collection contains two printing blocks from the American Entomological Society. The large printing block was made from a sketch of the same design. The large printing block is to create certificates for members of the society. A metal printing plate is attached to a wooden block for support. Eugene Murray Aaron Papers

Scope and Contents
A local entomologist, Aaron wrote up a Record of captures, 'pinnumbers" and field notes of his collection, 1882-89, covering the nearby New Jersey and Philadelphia locale. Isaac C. Martindale obtained specimens from Aaron, borrowed the "Record" and made the present transcript for his own use. George H. Horn, practicing physician, army surgeon and distinguished Coleopterist was closely associated with both the Academy and the Entomological Society. He became president of the latter and made important bequests
to it of study collections and funds.
This collection contains a biography of Horn, biographical notes, a copy of part of his will, a 144-page paper on Coleoptera, correspondence, and 12 certificates of memberships and honors in various societies.
